Gore Cortina II review

The Cortina IIs are a great fitting, well-designed, multipanelled short. They feature an elastic pad that's wide at the rear and narrow through the centre to the front, with thinner 'wings' to aid pedalling movement.

High quality and great pad. Would have preferred leg grippers

The Cortina IIs are a great fitting, well-designed, multipanelled short. They feature an elastic pad that's wide at the rear and narrow through the centre to the front, with thinner 'wings' to aid pedalling movement.

It's a comfortable design, and features one of Cytech's patented and now widespread Elastic Interface Technology (E.I.T.) chamois, which first appeared in Assos shorts. Sweat absorption is good and the pad moves with you, just as the shorts do. The wide elastic waistband is non-binding and lower in the front for a seated position, while the leg openings are not elastic. This means that they don't stay put as well as some, but on the plus side, won't dig in. Other top features include a small reflective logo and a key pocket.
