Pearl Izumi ThermaFleece Bib review

Very similar in function to Cannondale's midweight bib in that the light, brushed fabric sits easy on the legs to deliver just the right degree of warmth without getting too hot.

An active, quality winter warmer and the pedigree chamois is a bonus

Very similar in function to Cannondale's midweight bib in that the light, brushed fabric sits easy on the legs to deliver just the right degree of warmth without getting too hot. The bibs feature Pearl's rather good Elite chamois which is quite a technical item and far better than the token effort you get on many tights.

The eight-panel design and four-way stretch fabric gives an excellent fit but the Cannondales just pip the Pearls to the post. Eight-inch ankle zips are lined with reflective tape and all the seams are flat stitched. This is a classy tight and the quality is high. If you're a fast paced peddler you'll appreciate the lighter fabric as it is far more comfortable than the highly insulated tights that can sometimes feel hot and heavy.
