Our review
Pretty, techand totally natural - what more does a rider need?

Embers 'Lifestyle Boutique' specialises in top-notch merino clothing and the Migrate is their vanilla women's long-sleeved base layer, which is available in two colours.

The cut is plenty long enough to tuck into shorts for extra warmth, and the lightweight 195gsm New Zealand merino is thin enough to layer up comfortably without feeling stuffed to the gills and just warm enough for the mild British winter.

Riding hard with a pack on gave us a bit of a damp back, because although the top wicks as well as synthetic alternatives, it doesn't dry as fast and this, combined with the loose cut, means it can't keep up with racepace sweat. Merino's characteristic ability to be worn for several days on the trot without stinking, plus the pretty screenprint detail, makes this our favourite choice for everyday riding, commuting and road tripping, however. A men's version is also available - check out the website for more details.
