Competitively priced two-piece crankset with excellent chainrings

SRAM has worked with Truvativ on the design of these heat treated 7075 aluminium two-piece cranks that are available in compact 110mm BCD and traditional-style 130mm BCD.

The key-release makes it easy to get at the Giga X-Pipe externally mounted bearings, though we would prefer to see the right-hand rather than the left-hand crank attached to the axle as it has a greater peripheral strength.

Crank lengths are limited to either 170mm or 172.5mm in the compact 34/50 chainring configuration though, curiously, there is a 175mm in the traditional 39/53 chainring combination.

The PowerGlide chainrings have a beautiful surface treatment that prolongs the life of the teeth and the chain ramped quickly and smoothly up and down - at least as well as Shimano Dura-Ace or Campag Record.
