Acor AFK2352 review£99.95

In our experience a fork with an aluminium steerer such as this provides a greater level of stiffness than a carbon/alu/carbon fork where fitted to a larger frame, or where there are a greater than average number of spacers installed to raise the handlebar.

The Acor does indeed deliver a satisfying level of stiffness with a heavy rider on board, and is 10g lighter than the Columbus to boot. When fitted to an older bike, the outwardly similar 1in version, coded AFK 2606, vastly improves the handling over a steel fork, though look elsewhere if you ride long audaxes or are prone to numb hands on long runs.
