Totally reliable, tough and well controlled 90% of the time

This basic Reba Race is only slightly more expensive than the Recon Race, but it’s possibly worth it if you’re a real fork feel fettler.

In standard trim, the Reba and Recon are pretty much indistinguishable. What Reba adds over Recon, though, is the ability to alter the blow-off pressure needed to overcome the manual lockout operation via the gold ‘Floodgate’ dial.

You can also change the force needed to start the initial stroke of the fork (and its ride height) by changing the negative spring pressure.

GenYou’ll have to move higher up the Reba line to start seeing forks that are significantly lighter than the Race, though, and you’ll have to pay for the remote lockout option that’s standard on the Recon.
