Fox are probably the most aspirational forks around, and its RLT is its top conventional race fork - auto lockout/platform Terra logic forks are also available. Rebound, compression, lockout and lockout threshold adjustment lets you set up the fork to start or stop anywhere you want in relation to rough or smooth terrain.
If you're interested though, the basic R is £130 cheaper and decent enough for most riders. Where the Float really shines is charging headlong through seriously rough terrain. It's not super stiff, but excellent damping control and sensitivity give it superb traction and stability, letting you ride flat out without fear. Not all Foxes are created equal though, and some knock and rock under braking, while we've seen others corrode rapidly if they're not regularly rinsed. Weight is middling rather than exceptional too, and the price is definitely on the high side.
