Ike Carbon Riser Bar review

We used to get nervous when unknown carbon bars turned up for us to test, but this one's a little bit different. Ike is the componentry branch of big bike maker Merida, so its reputation is sound and we've been using this bar for over a year now.

Our review
A well priced and unusually shaped semi-riser at a good price

We used to get nervous when unknown carbon bars turned up for us to test, but this one's a little bit different. Ike is the componentry branch of big bike maker Merida, so its reputation is sound and we've been using this bar for over a year now.

We've also had an apparently identical bar from USE, but it costs £10 more. Both are going strong and both exhibit the right combination of oversized stiffness and the vibration absorption that carbon bars are known for. It's tough to say whether the angular bend area provides any sort of technical advantage, but it does look interesting. Merida also offers a 140g fl at bar in a 580mm width.
