Made from unidirectional carbon fibre, the Ouzo Pro hits the scales at 214g (44cm, measured centre-to-centre) which puts it firmly within the featherweight category.
In terms of shape, there's nothing too radical here although the tops start to head forward fairly early for a long, sweeping curve. You get a good flat section above the hoods, the bend straightens mid-drop to provide a comfortable hold where you can get at the levers, and there's another flat stretch towards the ends. The reach is 84mm, the drop is 142mm and the tubing is round section throughout. >In terms of stiffness, the Ouzo Pro offers a good balance. Hit road irregularities when riding on the drops and you get considerable downward flex to take the sting out of things. But haul up on the bars, whether you're on the hoods or the drops, and there's very little movement, even when you're out of the saddle and giving it everything on a steep back-breaker. >The fitting guideline on our set wasn't in the centre which threw us for a minute when fixing them in place, but that aside the build-standard was excellent and so was the finish, with a gloss lacquer protecting the decals. In fact, it's hard to fault the quality of these bars at all. >The bar is also available in 40 and 42cm versions although only for 31.8mm oversized clamp diameter, and in a slightly ovalised anatomic shaping (£189.95). >
