Taking place from 15 to 22 March 2015, the 12th edition of the Absa Cape Epic involves a 739km course with 16,000m of climbing that must be completed by both members of a two-person team. Local and international mountain bikers will tackle the eight-day race through the Western Cape region in South Africa.
The Absa Cape Epic is the most televised mountain bike stage race in the world and the only eight-day mountain bike stage race classed as hors catégorie by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). On top of this, the time of year means it's a true testing platform for the world's best prior to the World Cup season, and with this, comes plenty of new gear and equipment that hasn't been seen before. For 2015, BikeRadar will be there on the ground, on the search for the latest and greatest tech along with rider features from one of the world's toughest mountain biking events.
