Deity Components Decoy 2.5 pedals review£69.99

Colourful flat pedals

BikeRadar score3/5

The Decoy 2.5 pedals have the credentials to back up their good looks. They spin smoothly on a DU bush and two cartridge bearings, a rubber seal does its best to keep the elements out, and inside the external cap sits a secondary cap, which helps prevent contamination.

We were dubious about the simple crank-side rubber seal, but they’re still grit-free after months of use. The platform is wide enough for most riders’ feet, and the eight pins per side of the 17mm thick platform to provide just the right amount of grip while still allowing you to reposition your feet.

We’d prefer the grub screw pins to thread from the rear too, making for easier replacement if you snag one on a rock.
