Pacific Health Accelerade energy drink review£26.50

Pleasant, good-value energy drink

BikeRadar score4/5

When you open the tub of Pacific Health's Accelerade, the first thing that you notice about this is the powder’s strong smell, followed by its radioactive colour when it’s mixed.

Don’t let this put you off, because the taste (we had Tangy Orange) is good and not too sweet. It’s not overly thick and is also easy on the stomach.

You’ll need to use relatively little powder in each serving, benefiting value, and the powder mixes up easily.

Accelerade is designed to be drunk before, during and after exercise, and while it’s hard to judge reliably how effective the drink is on a just a few test rides, those we did using Accelerade seemed to be good ones, with consistent energy felt throughout.
