According to Wikipedia, a Barghest is a mythical monstrous black dog with large teeth and claws. This seems like a fitting name for a 27.5+ trail bike.

The Barghest is designed around a 140mm fork. For the category, the 69.5-degree head tube angle is on the steep end of the spectrum.

Heller notes the Barghest is also compatible with 150mm travel forks, should you want more relaxed handling.

The full carbon frame features internal cable routing through ports on the down tube.

Heller offers the Barghest in a single complete build that emphasizes affordability.

The drivetrain consists of a SRAM NX 1x11 drivetrain with a Sunrace 11-42t cassette. Manitou handles suspension duties with Machete comp fork and McLeod King Can shock. Tektro M285 brakes bring the Barghest to a halt, while a Sun Ringle Duroc wheelset with Maxxis 27.5x2.8in tires rounds out the build.

The claimed weight for a medium Barghest is 32.05lb / 14.5kg.

Heller offers the Barghest in five sizes from extra small to extra large. The Barghest is available now and retails for $2,999. (UK and Australian pricing TBA.)
