The most eagerly awaited stage of this year’s Giro d’Italia does not take place until a week on Wednesday, when many of the world‘s top riders will tackle the climb to the Plan de Corones – maybe!
Judging by the pictures we’ve been sent by local resident Igor Tavella, the road to the Dolomites ski resort is still far from conmpleted. Engineers are reported to be working around the clock to create a surface worthy of the race, and at the very least one that the riders will be able to race on. Click on the link below to see Igor’s gallery of pictures, and wonder if the 33×28 one leading pro has said he will be using will even be enough.
