Today, 16th March, five Great British cyclists have won medals in the Time Trials and Men’s Individual Pursuit in Melbourne, Australia.
Gold went to Paul Manning for the 4000m individual pursuit. He beat his team mate Rob Hayles with a time of 4:23.799. Hayles, from Portsmouth, went on to take silver, tiring in the final laps of the track. Whilst Stephen Cummings won Bronze in 4:24.767.
In the Men’s 1km Time Trial Jason Queally, from Chorley, took home silver.
Finally Victoria Pendleton, 25 from Manchester, won silver for her effort on the Women’s 500m Time Trial. She is yet to ride the sprint.
