The sixth annual Ales and Trails benefit for International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) California is scheduled for May 2 at China Camp State Park in San Rafael, California, a short drive north of San Francisco.

Local bicycle company Marin Bikes has signed on as title sponsor for the event, which has set a goal of raising US$10,000 for IMBA California, as well as signing 100 new members. Additionally, 10 local trail heros will be recognized.

Guided rides and skills clinics with pro riders like Marin Bikes Masters DH World Champion Shaums March, endurance racer Yuri Hauswald and new signee, dirt jumper Andrew Taylor join former cross country pro and multiple Leadville 100 winner Dave Wiens.

Seven local breweries will provide beer tasting to go with the tradition of a gourmet barbeque. Live music, a silent auction and a kid’s fun ride are part of the festivities. All proceeds go to IMBA California.
