Armstrong’s RadioShack get Tour of Lombardy green light

Initial snub overturned by organisers

Lance Armstrong’s RadioShack team were invited to race in the Tour of Lombardy today, just days after threatening to take the organisers to arbitration in an attempt to have an initial snub overturned.

RCS Sport, who organise the 16 October event, said International Cycling Union (UCI) president Pat McQuaid had agreed for a 26th team – RadioShack – to be admitted to the event, which had listed 25 teams last week.
