88bikes partnering with Keen to deliver bikes to kids

Focus on children rescued from human trafficking

88bikes Foundation, a non-profit organisation that provides bikes to children who have been rescued from human trafficking, has partnered with footwear maker Keen.

Under the Keen''s Hybrid.Care programme, the shoe company will match the first 100 donations to 88bikes's 2010 campaign, as well as providing funding for tools and bike maintenance training. Interbike attendees can come to the Keen booth (#5231) for details.

“We are honoured to receive support from Keen and to join the company of their other impressive Hybrid.Care partners,” 88bikes founder Dan Austin said. “Through their support, we’ll have a strong start to our new campaign, hopefully providing more bikes than ever to kids in need.”

Since 2004, Keen's Hybrid.Care has partnered with more than 20 global environmental, conservation and social non-profit organisations, and has distributed more than US$1.5 million. Current partners include American Whitewater, Leave No Trace, the Conservation Alliance and the Youth Outdoors Legacy Fund. For more information, visit www.88bikes.org.
