While preparing for the upcoming weekend's two-up time trial in Buhl in Germany, the CSC rider crashed and sustained a fracture in his shoulder. The German hopes to be able to train again within a week, but is once again kept from racing just as he was coming back from an injury that kept him out of the Tour de France, writes Susanne Horsdal. "It couldn't be more unfortunate. I've been training very hard in order to be back in good shape and I was very motivated to immediately show myself. I was disappointed to have to miss out on the Tour and now I have to take another unplanned break," said Jaksche, who is now looking towards the Vuelta. "At least I can start training again in about a week, and I'm convinced I still have the chance to hit top form for the Vuelta. I feel certain that I'll be getting results before the season is over," said the unfortunate CSC-rider. The German missed part of the spring classics after injuring his elbow in a training crash. He came back for Lige-Bastogne-Lige and kept prepraring for the Tour. But once again he was dogged by ill luck when he crashed during a training ride only a few days before the Belgian start of the Tour, injuring the same elbow.
