A taxi driver accused of reversing into a cyclist, partially severing his leg, was due to appear in court today.
Sultan Ahmed, 38, faces six charges in connection with an incident during which Chris Kasztelewicz was crushed against a pole.
The 36-year-old cyclist has undergone a series of major operations since his right leg had to be amputated after the incident on November 14.
He also suffered a fractured pelvis.

- Fail to stop at scene of accident bodily harm
- Obstructing a police officer
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with weapon
Three hours after the incident police were contacted by a cab driver who claimed he had been robbed by a cyclist at the scene. But officers have since said that no robbery took place.
