CV-Kelme call off their threatened strike after being paid.
After two months without pay, the Comunitat Valenciana-Kelme team riders and staff had been threatening to hold a picket outside the seat of the Valencian regional government on Friday to protest at their treatment. However, that scenario appears to have been diverted following the announcement on Thursday by the team's management that salaries for April and May are currently being processed and should reach the relevant accounts in the next 24-48 hours. The CV-Kelme staff were given a similar commitment earlier this week, but this time they have all been sent a bank confirmation of the money transfers. Consequently, the picket has been cancelled and attention should now switch back to upcoming events, starting with next week's Tour of Catalonia.
