Registration for The London-Paris 2011 sportive starts at noon today, and organisers say you'll have to be quick to secure a place as last year's event sold out within 20 hours.
The ride, which covers 550km in three days with a rest day in Paris, has attracted some famous names in the past, including Tour de France winner Stephen Roche, Formula 1 great Nigel Mansell, Olympian Rebecca Romero, ex-pro Magnus Backstedt, former England rugby captain Will Carling and ex-Team Sky sports director Scott Sunderland.
There's no news yet on the high-profile teams and riders taking part in this year's event. Sven Thiele, from organisers HotChillee, said his team were "ready and looking forward to an exceptional 2011". "We were overwhelmed by the demand for places in 2010, with the event selling out just 20 hours after entries opened," he said. "We expect things to be even more frenetic this year and our team are ready to cope with the demand."
