Like most other walks of life, the bike industry has its fair share of one trick ponies accorded guru status.
Marcus Storck though, is the real deal. With a raft of design patents to his name, he has been right there on the cutting edge of both aluminium and carbon technologies. Way back in 1993 he introduced the world's lightest carbon cranks, he is also responsible for the Stiletto, the world's first carbon fork, and he produced the first all carbon full suspension bike, the Organic, back in 2000.
What sets Storck apart though, is his meticulous attention to detail and his willingness to put received wisdom to one side when solving a problem. He is also a man with strong views on what's going to happen next in bike development. When Storck talks, the bike world listens. We caught up with him at Eurobike and you can listen to and watch the result of our meeting on the first of our Eurobike podcasts here.
