Yesterday saw Specialized kick-start their UK concept store tour designed to get cycling enthusiasts up close and personal with their past, present and future bikes.
The ‘Best of Specialized’ show at their Kingston upon Thames store in South London was the first in a series of nine running across the UK, and continues today from 12pm-9pm up the road in Covent Garden.
Visitors were given the chance to check out, amongst others, the original 1981 Stumpjumper and the 1994 FSR Team model, the 1990 Allez Epic and the first carbon SL2 from 2007. Present models ranged from the S-Works McLaren Venge (which you can no longer buy unless you've already reserved one) to the Demo 8 FSR II downhill bike, while the 2012 version of the Shiv time trial bike took pride of place on the wall. Head over to our gallery for a look at what you can expect.

The free show is running throughout March, with drinks, sandwiches and more fresh fruit than you can shake a stick at on hand for all visitors. Staff from Specialized UK HQ will also be around to answer any questions you might have. Simply by showing up you’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win a bike, with the winner getting the enviable choice between an S-Works Roubaix SL3 and an S-Works Epic 29er.
