Gore sportive coming to Selkirk

Standard and classic distances in the Scottish Borders

The Gore Bike Wear Road Sportive series takes place in Selkirk on August 2 and 3 as part of the Merida MTB Marathon weekend.

The route takes in the best roads of the Scottish Borders, with two courses on offer – an eighty mile loop, and a fifty mile loop.

The route takes in stunning scenery including and passes many heritage sites including the Elibank Tower, previously home to 'Muckle Moothed Meg', Traquair Forest, and Traquair House. There’s plenty of testing climbs to put your legs to the test, as well as some smooth descents.

There’s a route map on the organiser’s website, as well as a course profile.
