The Kona Cheddar Bikefest takes place at the Broadway House Camping ground in Cheddar in south-western UK over the weekend of 27-28 September. There’ll be a ten hour enduro race on the Saturday, followed by a five hour and a three hour event on the Sunday.
Both days can be ridden as solo or as teams of two or four. The last couple of hours on the Saturday race will be ridden in the dark, offering a chance for everybody to enjoy night riding before the ‘dark season’ starts.
There’s a redesigned course for this year, which can be found here. If you want to familiarise yourself with the it, there’s a NiteRider night time trial on the Friday night from 7:00pm onwards with riders starting at set intervals racing one loop against the clock.
Every rider who takes part in the Saturday and the Sunday event will be given a loyalty gift worth more than £25 courtesy of race sponsor Kona.
The event village will have something for everyone including caterers, and coffee vendors, adventure playground and the latest 2008/9 accessories, apparel and bikes on display.
Kids race free
There will be a kids race held on the Saturday starting at 1:00pm. Classes are 0-5 years, 5-10 years and 10 and over. Parents can enter their children on the day before 12:30pm.
