Last minute entries available for TransWales 2009

Gruelling riding on some of the UK’s best trails

Last minute entries are still available for the 2009 TransWales mountain bike stage challenge which starts in mid-Wales from the 15th-22nd of August.

The event, which follows in the footsteps of famous mountain bike stage events like the TransAlp and TransRockies will take in the very best manmade and natural trails on offer in the area starting at Builth Wells and taking in Llanidloes, Machynlleth, Cwmystwyth, Cilycwm, Llansawel and Llanwrtyd Wells.

Most of the special stages will take place as ‘within’ stages and not necessarily at designated trail centres, which aims to give the event more flexibility when it comes to the start and finish or camping locations. The night special stage will still be run at a trail centre.

For more information on the course and to plan your tactics, and to enter go to the TransWales website.
