Llandegla buzzing as the second Demo Day rolls in...

UPDATED! With more pics...Loads of bikes, great riding and beautiful breakfast baps were the talk of the day

The second What Mountain Bike National Demo Day was held in Llandegla, North Wales on Sunday and it was a blast. The guys at the trail centre had done a brilliant job of gearing the place up for the day, including creating a specific Demo Day route and setting up an outdoor catering station to replenish riders and visitors with tea, cake and other such delights.

After admiring the biggest bird table in the UK and wrestling with the registration tent and not-so-easy-to-assemble desk, we were ready for the first Demo riders of the day. The sun made an early appearance and managed to pop out and say hello for most of the day, which we were chuffed about.

All sorts of rider turned up to have a go on the demo bikes, many were there to try the huge range of bikes that Focus and Trek/Gary Fisher had taken along, others were intrigued by the on-the-fly geometry-changing gadgetry on the Bionicon bikes.

All of the riders we spoke to really enjoyed themselves, and most took advantage of all the bikes on offer - riding full sus XC bikes from the likes of Focus and Felt, hardtails from Dawes and there was plenty of full bounce DH fun on offer from Norco and Morewood.

We're looking forward to the next Demo Day at Thetford Forest - for more information and to book your rides, click here!

Here are some pics of the day, we'll post more tomorrow.

Roy Forster travelled from Runcorn for a full day of Demo bike riding - here he is after a loop on a Focus First Expert. He's looking to buy a full sus bike in the future - the Focus is on his shortlist.

David Smith's usual ride is a Cove Stiffee, so he thought he'd have a go on the Norco Shore One full-bouncer. The uphills were a bit of a chore, but it was all worth it on the way down.
