We kick off August with a brand new challenge for BikeRadar Training members: King of the Mountain
This month we've partnered up with Mio for our King of The Mountain Challenge. To enter all you need to do is ride hills – lots of them! Everyone who logs more than 3050m of climbing by Aug 31st will be entered into a prize draw to win a Mio Cyclo 305 HC!
If you're not a mountain goat then fear not, as anyone who logs over 1000m of climbing by Aug 31st will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 10 BikeRadar Training T-shirts! There will also be weekly random spot-prizes for members in the group! These could be for anything from an interesting user image to greatest time climbing or most inventive username...
How to enter:
1. Join the King of the Mountain Challenge group*
2. Ride as many hills as you can between 1-31 August 2012 Log over 3050m to be entered into the prize draw to win the Mio Cyclo 305 HC!
4. Follow the group leaderboard to see how you're doing.
5. That's all there is to it; keep checking the group for leaderboard updates, who has made the top 10 that week and who is the ultimate King of the Mountain.
*Unlike our previous challenges where you just log your activities on BikeRadar Training, this month you must be a member of the King of the Mountain Challenge group in order to enter.
Tenth of the Tour Challenge
Last month saw people having to log 217.2 miles (a tenth the distance of the Tour de France) to enter into the Tenth of the Tour Challenge for the chance to win a bumper box of cycling goodies.
An impressive 116 people completed the Tenth of the Tour Challenge. Some just hit the target, getting their 218th mile logged on the very last day, whereas others smashed the distance goal, with the top spot on the leaderboard going to 1tal and his 2,001 miles.
Congratulations go out to Kyriakos Perrakis who was randomly selected as the Tenth of the Tour winner and walks away with a bumper box of cycling goodies!
