The UK's first and only nationwide Adventure Film Festival (AFF) is coming to a cinema screen near you. Running from Sept 11th to 23rd 2006, the adventure films from the world's top adventure film producers are set to bring adventure to the mainstream, and inspire the adventurer in us all.
There will be a different theme each night, including:
Endurance - adventure travel with a twist from the producers of 'Long way Round'.
Storm Force - with programming from the National Geographic Channel.
Ocean Adventure - including groundbreaking footage from free-diving with sharks.
High Altitude - skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, base-jumping.
On-the-edge - from the world's most remote and dangerous corners with jungle exploration in the unmapped interior of Papua New Guinea to the world's greatest free-climbers scaling dizzying heights.
AFF director, Jim Odoire said: "The scope of this festival - featuring such a variety of activities - fits perfectly with the increase seen in adventure travel across all age groups. It will appeal to the mainstream audience as well as the experienced traveller and avid outdoor enthusiast."
The film festival will take place in 56 Vue cinemas around the UK. See here for more details
