Riders have been queuing up to hit the snow-covered trails, according to company director Andy McKenna, who knows the best routes to all the well known tracks, as well as some of the less well worn off-road paths.

If you’re planning a trip, Andy’s got some words of advice: “Don't put away the gimp-suit just yet. There may be a thaw on but it's still sub-zero up here so you still need to wrap up well. The good thing is that the trails are beginning to show through, and under the trees where the more discrete stuff is, you'll find the trails riding nice: soft on the top layer, with a firm base. Just watch those turns on the icy patches.”
