David Zabriskie, who had to drop out of the Tour a few days after crashing in the team time trial, was back in Paris to party with his CSC team-mates on Sunday evening, writes Susanne Horsdal. But the American had something to celebrate already on Saturday, when he proposed to his girlfriend and received a positive reply. After five days of rest following his premature departure from the Tour, he began training again and is slowly getting back in gear. Apart from the World Championships, Zabriskie isn't sure of his programme for the rest of the season.

- Not surprisingly given their four stage wins and overall success for Lance Armstrong, Discovery Channel finished top of the Tour's money-winners. The full list of cash earned is:

- Success at the Tour also boosted Lance Armstrong right up the ProTour rankings. Danilo Di Luca's position as the series leader was always going to be safe despite him missing the Tour, but Armstrong jumped right up to second place, just ahead of Alexandre Vinokourov.
