Video: Limited edition neon yellow Turner DHR downhill bike

Cutting-edge race rig that'll get you noticed on the track

Pete Drew from distributors Silverfish dropped by BikeRadar's Bath office this week with something very special to show us – a limited edition neon yellow Turner DHR with a wishlist build.

We first saw David Turner's new downhill bike, developed with suspension guru Dave Weagle, at last month's Core Bike show, but this is the first time we've seen one built up and ready to ride.

Our workshop assistant and photoshoot regular (both in front of and behind the camera) Jonny Ashelford was on hand to capture the yellow peril in all its majesty, and he's put together a quick video edit which you can watch below:

As stock, the DHR is available in Lime Green, Raw and Ano Black, but Silverfish also have a small batch of limited edition frames in Neon Yellow, Semi-Gloss Black and Gloss White. At £2,695, there's no extra charge over the standard powder-coated versions. It's available in S,M,L and XL sizes.

The build shown here includes an Elka Stage 5 rear shock, Fox 40 RC2 fork, e*thirteen's new downhill cranks, Mavic DeeMax wheels, Shimano XTR kit, an SDG I Fly Storm saddle and Race Face finishing kit.

There'll be a full report on this bike in an upcoming issue of Mountain Biking UK magazine. To subscribe, visit

CW has been riding mountain bikes for more than two decades now. He's the first to admit he's not the fittest or most skilful rider on the hill, but that doesn't stop him sweating up the climbs to have a blast on the downhills.
