Screaming down the streets of Lisbon full on downhill, while the people try to go about their business. Wicked! Helen Gaskell was third.MBUK: Good result Helen. Was it a good race?
Gasket: It's a mad street race through Lisbon and it seemed a lot harder this time than the last time I rode it two years ago.
MBUK: How harder?
Gasket: Everything seemed narrower. There was all scaffolding down the walls. And you had to jump over a RedBull car up near the start. It was really fast and if you crashed it hurt a lot.
MBUK: I remember Will saying he was hooning down a street and some old boy came out of his house to get a bottle of milk.
Gasket: It is mad, the people are trying to live as if it 's a normal day. The trams are working and you have to stop to let them go if you meet one. I think you get a re-run if that happens.
MBUK: Sounds like a great day though.
Gasket: Oh yeah, there were loads of people, huge crowds with a big screen so you could watch it all the way down. And Peaty won the men's. He was uncatchable.
MBUK: So what's next?
Helen: The Nationals at Moelfre Hall, near Oswestry, that's the 28th and 29th of May. That's the course Dan and Gee found and I helped build the track. It's a good one."http://www.npsdownhill.co.uk"
And then Fort William for the World Cup on 5th and 6th of June. Everyone has to come a yell for us Brits at that one.
MBUK: We'll be there yelling. See you then.
