A scooter, a gravel bike, two mountain bikes, a seriously cheap tool kit and more

Halfords is among the very biggest cycling retailers in the UK and it has just launched its first round of Black Friday cycling deals ahead of the big day on 23 November.

Sister cycling-specific store Cycle Republic is also due to launch its own line of Black Friday deals, but these aren’t expected until Black Friday itself on 23 November.

The first round of Black Friday cycling deals at Halfords primarily consists of gravel and mountain bikes from house brand Voodoo, alongside a number of healthy discounts on toolkits.

We’ve only covered a handful of deals, so be sure to check out Halfords’ Black Friday page for the full scoop.

The Tacx Flux Smart trainer is one of our favourite connected direct-drive trainers on the market. It sacrifices some of the features of the top-end Neo model (primarily packability) in favour of a more reasonable price.

The Voodoo Nikasi is built around a nicely finished 7005 alloy frameset, which features a number of gravel-friendly tweaks. Skinny-ish seatstays and flattened chainstays should help to improve comfort on rough terrain, with a slack 71-degree head angle and long-ish 425mm chainstays improving stability.

Better still, all of this off-road capability is currently available for just £440.

Voodoo Bantu — £450 £360

If you prefer your off road adventures to be a bit more singletrack-flavoured, the Bantu should be right up your street.

The spec sheet isn’t going to set the world alight, but at just £360, this could be a great option for someone starting out.
