In addition to wheels, shoes and helmets, Trek’s accessory brand Bontrager continues to expand and refine its clothing offerings, and the new fall line shows some promise. BikeRadar recently received a number of fall pieces, and we were impressed by the RXL Stormshell Jacket in particular, which is formfitting, stretchy, breathable and cut for the riding position (you’d be surprised by how many jerseys and jackets are cut for an upright position).

The RXL Stormshell Jacket is waterproof but doesn’t feel plasticky
Bontrager’s fall gear, from the booties on up, makes extensive use of Profila, a range of fabrics Bontrager created with its vendors.
We will review a few of the pieces soon, but in the meantime check out the new clothing in the gallery on the right. Pricing runs from about $100/£65 for the Thermal bibs and long-sleeve jerseys up to around $199/£139 for the RXL Stormshell Jacket.
Bontrager has four types of fit: Pro Fit, Fitted, Semi-Fitted and Comfort Fit. Most of the pieces shown here are Fitted, in the US Medium/Euro Large size on a 6’/183cm rider.
Bontrager fall wear: if you’re in the market for some warm clothing this fall, bontrager’s new gear is definitely worth a look. we’ll review a few pieces soon: bontrager fall wear: if you’re in the market for some warm clothing this fall, bontrager’s new gear is definitely worth a look. we’ll review a few pieces soon Nathan Forbes/Future Publishing
