There was plenty on offer at the Core Bike show for mountain bike riders including fresh colourways from Fox Racing, some new bits from British company Hope, and other highlights from Selle Italia, Lezyne and Crank Brothers.
Hope had their tried and tested range of wheels, brakes, lights and hubs at the show as well as a few new items including a stem with hinge-fitting system – the one here is a special edition green version.
The company’s Tech M4 brake has been tweaked with a new ambidextrous ‘flip flop’ design lever machined from a single piece of aircraft spec aluminium alloy, a redesigned piston, lever and pivot setup with external reach and bite point adjustment dials.
Other improvements include an updated one-piece CNC machined caliper and a drip-free bleed nipple. They’re priced at £170/£175 depending on rotor size.
The £100 Vision One LED Adventure light is based on Hope’s Vision One LED light, but the Adventure is more suited to be helmet mounted, as the battery is held in a separate case which can be fixed to your backpack or your bike. It can also be bar-mounted. It pumps out the same 240 lumens as the Vision One, and comes with quick-release handlebar mount, head harness and helmet mount.
