We’re back from the show and we were really impressed at how much it’s grown over the years, and the qualitiy of this year’s displays. Companies seem to be taking this show really seriously – and it’s about time.
We had a stand of our own selling subscriptions (thanks to anyone who subscribed at the show) and showing off the best in bike exotica. We even had the lightest bike in the show – a 5.5kg folding, steel Roberts (pictured on the front page with C+ tester and grease monkey Jez).
Main Pic and Pic 1: There’s a bit of trend towards retro paintjobs in the bike world at the moment. This carbon Condor creation was one of the prettiest bikes at the International Cycle Show. We particularly liked the cookies and cream Fizik Arione saddle it was sporting.
Pic 2: We’ve guessed for a long time that coloured carbon will be a big thing over coming seasons and it was only in London that we started to see our premonitions coming true. This Bianchi Luna is made with white carbon – very tasty.
Pic 3: We couldn’t believe the number of folding bikes there were at this years show. Every manufacturer now seems to be offering something that folds. Folding specialists Dahon had these multi coloured offerings, possibly in attempt to attract a younger audience…
