The Cambridgeshire-based Tour of the Cornfields cyclocross sportive will be held on Sunday, August 31, taking in some the county’s quiet lanes, byways and bridleways. Organisers say that this year’s route will build on the successful 2007 course, with new off-road zones, the return of classic sections and a new off-road signage system to improve navigation.
As the name implies, the ride is ideal for cyclocross bikes but mountain bike riders are also invited to take part, with over 50% of the route off road. The way will be signposted and riders will be provided with written directions.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the EC-CA Youth Cyclo-Cross squad, details of which can be found on the East Anglian Daily Times Cyclo-Cross League website.
You can enter the sportive online via the organiser’s website, or download the entry form from here.
Rider numbers are limited to 175, so get your entries in now.
