Duffield Challenge 11th June 2006
Join Cycling Plus on a ride in Wiltshire
It’s just a matter of days to go until the C+ team take on the CTCs David Duffield Challenge, which is open to all. Come meet us, TV cycling commentator David Duffield and bicycle inventor Alex Moulton on Sunday 11th June starting in Corsham, Wiltshire.
Apart from meeting us, as I’m sure you’ll have come for much more, the David Duffield Challenge, which will be in its third year, has some new routes chosen by David Duffield himself around his home in Somerset. There’s four options: an off-road route or the 35k family ride, which is flat and runs through some National Trust properties with a stop at the Moulton’s house in Bradford in Avon for welcome refreshments. Then there’s the more challenging 100k or 150k rides. The rolling routes pass through the village of Lacock and via many of the Wiltshire’s historic sites: chalk White Horses, Avebury Rings, Salisbury Plain and Stonehedge.
START: CORSHAM COMMUNITY CENTRE, BEECHFIELD RD, CORSHAM. START TIME: 150KM: 09.00AM, 100KM: 10.00AM, OFFROAD: 10.00AM, FAMILY: 10.00AM. SPACES ARE NOT LIMITED AND YOU CAN ENTER ON THE DAY. Entry fee covers costs only and individuals can raise funds for the CTC Charitable Trust, lobbying for safer cycling.
