Dusk ’til Dawn bigger & better for 07

Night enduro expands, returns to original venue

Dusk Til Dawn is bigger and better for 2007

The 2007 edition of the all-night 12-hour mountain bike enduro Dusk ’til Dawn is set to be the biggest ever, according to organisers Thetford MTB Racing. Entries for the 6-7 October race will be limited to 800, up from 640 at 2006’s widely-praised event.

Dusk ’til Dawn will be supported by Marin Mountain Bikes who have signed up as sponsor for Thetford MTB Racing’s entire winter series. Marin is back on board for a very simple reason. “Last year’s D2D was a real cracker and it gave everyone a buzz to be involved,” said Marin UK’s Ross Patterson. “The Marin Winter Series is growing and we’re expecting it to be another superb event on the MTB calendar.”

The 2007-8 Dusk ‘Til Dawn will return to its original venue of Mayday Meadow in Thetford Forest, where organizers Paul Hore and USAF airman Frank Jaworski are already hard at work cutting a new course. The new ten-mile loop will feature four bomb holes and Thetford’s famed fast singletrack.

“It’s very exciting,” said Mr Hore. “We have got the strimmers out already! To have Marin on board again is fantastic news. And going back to Mayday Meadow is a great move. It was our original location and it will be the best ever D2D.”
