Ladies Night in Bristol.

The 2008 Evans Cycles Ladies Night events have gotten off to a flying start, with over 100 ladies in attendance at the evenings.

“Our competitions have been hotly contested,” said Patrick Trainor, spokesman for Evans. “If you’re coming along to our Brighton or Canary Wharf Ladies Night make sure you get there early and be one of the first 50 through the door and grab one of the goodie bags.”

There are several benefits to attending an Evans Ladies Night event, including:

Discount on Purchases – all ladies are entitled to 10 percent off their purchases during the evening (excluding sale items).

Expert advice – on bikes, clothing and accessories and take advantage of the 10 percent discount available on the night on production of your invite. Simply download an invite from the Evans cycles website, bring it to the night and present it at the till.

Pearl Izumi competition – Evans is collecting entries in each store towards the Pearl Izumi clothing competition that will be drawn at the end of the month; the winner will receive a Pearl Izumi spending spree worth £150.

Cherie Pridham from Pearl Izumi will be attending and able to answer any of your questions on Pearl Izumi clothing, Cherie is an established professional cyclist who has ridden for various European professional teams, including the Swiss based Mazza Team and the Italian-based MAPEI team. She has also competed with distinction in seven Tour de France Féminen races (Women’s Tour de France), so many of you budding road racers might like to ask her what it’s like to race at that level.

Mechanical competition – a simple task to find the fastest person to fit the seat post, the front wheel and connect the brake. There is no excuse not to bring out the competitive streak, we’re seeing some very fast times for this task.

Mechanic demos – for those not so mechanically minded or looking to refresh their bike knowledge the mechanic demonstrations given at the start of the night will show you the easy way out of a tight spot. There will also be staff available to give help and advice to all the visitors during the night on how to look after your bike with some handy tips.
