Fat Face downhill night ride in Edinburgh

Riders swap Scottish mountains for the streets of Auld Reekie


The UK’s top downhill riders are heading to Edinburgh city centre on Saturday, October 6 for the world’s first night-time urban downhill race. New junior world champion Ruaridh Cunningham, world silver medallist Rachel Atherton and world bronze medallist Gee Atherton will be there along with the top names in British Mountain biking including Dan Atherton, Brendan Fairclough, Tom Braithwaite, Scott Beaumont, Marc Beaumont, Neil Donoghue, Will Longden and Rob Warner.


There will be a prize fund of £3000 on offer to pro riders, with prizes available for the other age-based categories.

Race organiser Chris Roberts said, “The vibe of Edinburgh makes this the perfect city for this spectacular event, we are expecting thousands of action fans and general public to line the streets & alleyways of Edinburgh to see all the action.”
