Giant UK has recently announced its equipment sponsorship support of the United Eight racing team which will compete in the fabled Race Across America (RAAM) later this year.

Formed in summer 2007, the eight person team will be taking on its toughest challenge to date thisJune, when it embarks on the 3,000 mile, non-stop coast-to-coast American odyssey. The race travels west to east across the continent, taking in fifteen states and climbing the equivalent of nearly four MountEverests. The United Eight have committed to completing the challenge in just seven days.

Team member Owen Slot said: “When the United Eight embarked on this gargantuan challenge, we knew our priority was top range bikes. We were obviously overjoyed when Giant offered to help us.  All of us have ridden at various levels before, but not on models as classy, efficient and fast as the Giant TCR C 0.”
