Siemens lake jump comes to Fort William
The famous Siemens mobile X Lake Jump, last seen at the huge Garda festival, will be in action at Fort William to help kick off the World Cup.
Get yourself to the West End car park on Friday night (30th May) at 8pm to see the assorted MTB and BMX loons jumping into the balmy waters of Loch Linnhe. And it’s all free!
The riders speed down a 7m ramp, shoot off an 2.8m high kicker, climb up to 5m high in the air and pull off a range of unique and original stunts such as Double Back Flips, Superman Seat Grabs, Cordobas, Cliff Hangers, Heart Attacks, 720øs and 900øs (it says here) before plunging into the ice cold water. At the Siemens mobile X Lake Jump, riders compete in two disciplines: ‘Best Trick’ and ‘High Jump’. Steve Peat will be in the jury.
