As Cycle 2008 approaches, it’s now your chance to see, try out and get hands-on with the gear you’ve admired from afar in our online and magazine coverage.
But you don’t have to have an ‘access all areas’ pass to take part in the event which runs from the 10-12 October, because the big (and small) brands are rolling out their new gear for all UK riders to see, touch and dribble over before it hits the stores.
And it’s not just about clapping your eyeballs on the real thing; you’ll be able to test ride some of it, too. For example, if you’ve been sceptical about the electronic Dura Ace groupset, then there’s a Di2-equipped bike on an elite cyclosimulator for you to hurl your leg over and see what the fuss is about.
The new Campag 11 speed groupset will also be there, as well as the full Shimano Saint range to get the mountain bike crowd stoked. And if all that shiny tech leaves you cold, there’ll be a full range of clothing and shoes from Mavic to get you warm again.
Along with the sumptuous gear, there’ll be some world beating bikes on show, including:
- Carlos Sastre’s Tour de France-winning Cervelo
- Big Magnus Backstedt’s latest Felt AR team issue bike
- Gee Atherton’s World Championship winning Commencal DH bike
- Shanaze Reid’s BMX
- Theo Bos’s track bike
And to round it all off Cannondale, Felt, Specialized, Trek, Focus, Cube, GT, Charge and Condor bikes will be liberally scattered about the show floor.
Right, now for the really good bit: we can get you in for £5 less than the regular ticket price (on the door price is £14). All you need to do is head over to www.cycleshow.co.uk/PCM or call 08448 480126 and give the promotional code PCM when prompted. Now you can’t say that we never did anything nice for you…
