The 19th Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride will take place on Sunday, July 1. The event offers four routes through the Dorset countryside: a 15 mile ride around Lytchett Matravers, a 25 mile ride which includes part of Charborough Park, a 40 mile ride along the River Stour and Winterborne Valley, and a challenging 60 mile ride which passes through Milton Abbas. All routes will be fully supported by marshals and signs, refreshment stops, mechanics at the start/finish, and masseurs. Riders can enter individually or as part of a team of four.
The Dorset Bike Ride will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, and will offer a prize for the top fundraiser.
Retired British cricketing star David Gower is lending his support to the event: “I have known Macmillan for many years now and have always been amazed at the great work they do,” he said. “Come and join them on July 1st and you can help raise much appreciated funds for a great cause in a way that is both fun and healthy.”
