The final event of the Merida Bikes MTB marathon Series takes place in Penrith, Cumbria on Sunday September 14th. The Gore Bike Wear Sportive will also be held on the Saturday of the same weekend. Entries are still available for both events.
This year’s mountain bike course improves on the 2007 venue, and Chris Ford from Cycle Active has been working hard to put together four different routes of varying difficulty for riders of all abilities.
Route profiles can be found here.
There is also something for the roadies too with two sportive courses on offer. The Classic Sportive course is approx. 135km long and has almost 2500 metres of climbing with the Standard Sportive offering approx. 80km and 1200 metres of climbing.
A course description, course maps and profiles are on the organiser’s website.
