Everything’s dialled for the 2007 season, check out the Merida events
After weeks of trying to catch their tails, the guys at mtb-marathon.co.uk have managed to update the marathon website. Everything on there is now dialled in for the 2007 season. The training planner has already started but you will have no problem catching up on it.
Some of the marathon riders have already made use of the online entry. This is also fully functional and ready to process your entries.
A few riders have came across a shortcoming in the system in the way that it can’t give you the discount when you take part in both the EXPOSURE LIGHT BIG NIGHT OUT and the Spring Marathon in Builth on the 14-15th April 2007. It would be easier if you could enter these events by post. If not please let the organisers know by email that you have entered both and you will be reimbursed.
New 2007 locations and entry forms
Early indications have shown that the new Cumbria and Aviemore events are well liked.
So if you are considering going to either of these it might be a good idea to get your entry in early.
The 2007 entry form is now back from the printers and will be sent out to the entire database in the next few days. If you want to get hold of one of the forms and you are not on the database then please send a SAE to: Merida Bikes MTB Marathon Series, Attn: John Lloyd, 5 Irfon Road, Builth Wells, Powys, LD2 3DE, UK.
MTB-Marathon / TransScotland Guidebook 2007
The 2007 issue of the MTB-Marathon Guidebook will be released early spring and will be sent to the entire Merida Marathon database. If you are not currently on that list and you want to receive a copy (FOC) simply send your postal address to firstname.lastname@example.org. The booklet will be full of reviews from 2006, details about the 2007 events, tips and tricks from the world of marathon riding and details about the Chain Reaction Cycles TransScotland ’07.
Chain Reaction Cycles TransScotland ’07
The entries for the Chain Reaction Cycles TransScotland ’07 have been going well and the event is roughly 2/3 full. That means there are still a few entries available. If you are interested in this challenging event on some of the best trails the UK has to offer then simply download an entry form from the event website and send it together with your deposit cheque to the address on the entry form.
So far the solo entries have been really strong which should guarantee a rather interesting competition throughout the event week. Entries have also been received from all over the world, including Belgium, Germany, Italy, the USA and Sweden.
With the rather turbulent Christmas post the organisers are not 100% sure that all entries have reached them. If you have sent your entry form but have not yet received your confirmation please let the organisers know so that they can investigate.
