Here are pics of the pre-production showbikes, with a reasonably good representation of what they’ll look and be specced like – they’ll be coming to a bike shop near you soon.
The inclusion of several more 69er variants into the line indicates Trek’s confidence and the possibilities within this niche – also expected (but not pictured) is a FS singlespeed version – the 69er SS will carry through to ’08 unchanged. If you haven’t ridden 69er yet then do it – see what all the fuss is about.
The HiFi Carbon was launched at Sea Otter and employs the use of OCLV carbon along with a new and unique co-moulding process to integrate parts such as shock mounts into the structure of the carbon, instead of being bonded on post-moulding – making the area stronger, stiffer and lighter. Also note the new G2 crowned Fox forks.
Rough guide prices are as follows:
HiFi Carbon – £3500
69er Geared HT – £1400
69er Geared FS – £1400
